We want you to help us stop hunger in New York City.
On Sunday, October 14 at Brooklyn’s Public Assembly, we’ll be tasting hummus, raffling off more than $8,000 worth of prizes from local artists and businesses, and jamming out to live music — at the 6th Annual Craig Murphey Fellowship Fundraiser.
Proceeds from this free annual event, which will also feature a hummus cook-off featuring local chefs and live music, will benefit the New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH) and will help fund the Craig Murphey Fellowship program. This program continues the outstanding work of Craig Murphey, a young community organizer who worked tirelessly to help bring locally grown, nutritious food to low-income New Yorkers. After Craig lost his life in a bicycle accident five years ago, NYCCAH created the fellowship program in his honor to help carry on his legacy of anti-hunger advocacy.
Craig worked as hard as he laughed and danced, and it’s in this spirit that we’ve put together a great night of food, music, laughter and friendship — all for a great cause.
